Day out at Dog Run
Yo, haven't been up dating much about McMug, so here I am, the lazy owner, finally sitting down infront of the laptop typing in the entry for his blog. Anything interesting? Hmmm... well... we went to the Pets Movers, where they'd got a dog run area, a wading pool, a megamart, a cafe for human (and dogs I suppose) and soap and water for showering your dogs.
Fortunately for us, my friend managed to borrow the car from her dad (and of course she didn't inform him about a dog riding in his car :P). And along with us were 3 other friends. McMug does what McMug always does -- socialise with other dogs. Initially he wasn't so active, and was actually quite intimidated by that place (well, he doesn't travel much you see) and shed quite a lots of fur. But ultimately, friendship won over fear!!! HAHAHAHA... he could easily find a few dogs and chase each other a while and then he would be much more at ease.
What he actually hated was the wading pool. Yup, I dump him in! I'm evil...muhahaha....
Ok, ok, before any animal lovers protest, I didn't dump him in, I put him in slowly and the pool is not deep, and McMug could swim (dog style). Just that he still prefers land.
So that ends his little adventure. That's all folks.

The running 4
Well well. The Running 4: McMug (Jack Russell Terrier), NoNo (Golden Retriever x German Sheperd), Zach (Bull Terrier) and Pepper Boy (Silky terrier x Snauzer) are on the move again. These 4 dogs used to run free on the field and hadn't been doing it for a long time until Yesterday evening. We took Mug down for his walk quite early yesterday instead the usual 9pm. So we met Pepper Boy, then NoNo then Zach.

Once NoNo saw the old gang her inner urge to play burst into flame! Muahahahaha..., but you see, NoNo is a big dog so her Dad can't really control her if she becomes too active, and at that time there are too many people, especially children walking around.

Soooo... we decided to go to the field! Yeahhhhh... And so, McMug in the lead, we walk towards the overhead bridge. (Bad choice cos NoNo wanted to chase after McMug but her Dad try to slow her down. We have to change the "formation" where NoNo walk first.)

One by one, we, the owners, unleash our dog at the empty field. They ran towards the middle of the field and the fun BEGAN! Funny thing was, all 3 dogs aim for McMug. Hahahaha... Poor Mug got chased by the other 3 fellows. First he had to out run NoNo ( who was too big and fast) then try to wrestle Pepper Boy, then Zach came charging behind. All of us, the owners just stood there and laugh. Within a few minutes all four of them are covered with fresh mown grass and mud. Sometimes I really envy them. Something so dirty can be so fun. No restriction, no worries, just pure fun. But then of course, if their owners are not like us, I down think they'll have the luxuary of having so much fun. Imagine those owners screaming their head off when they see a muddy dog or another dog playing 'rough' with their dog. (well,if it's agressive kind then I won't call if play).

Just to side track a little, this reminds me of Toto-chan, a story about a lady childhood, when her school headmaster ask the parents to let the children where their worst clothes to school. Why? So that they can play all that they want without worrying about dirtying their clothes and getting scolded by the parents. Hmm... how nice.

Back to the topic. When we return to our side of the road, we met Pepper Girl (Snauzer), Max (white poodle) and Vivi(black miniature Pincture). Hahaha... just look at the contrast. Pepper Girl is well known for her wonderful grooming, The "princess" among the dogs in the estate. Max and Vivi just got their bath. And then there stood the 4 muddy, grassy dogs. Well, we couldn't like the dirty gang play with the clean group right? And then there ends our short, but yet happy time running around.

(Just to add in, the one down point about running in the field is, there is no fencing around the field. I'm actually afraid McMug might run onto the road and the other 3 just follow. In case you don't know how "blind" McMug can be when he starts his running craze, he knocked into a small tree once when he was playing chase with Max, and twice he knocked into the tiny ViVi when he was playing chase with Max (again).)

New friends Old friends

Old friends:
Remember Rich, the miniature Jack Russell and Roxy, the wired hair Jack Russell? Well, all along they haven't been able to see eye to eye. And that dreadful Friday night (when I'm not at the usual night gathering) Roxy attacked Rich. According to eye-witness report (my dad), Rich's sisters (human sisters) were trying to bring him further from Roxy and then suddenly Roxy just ran towards Rich and bit him at the neck! Roxy mum tried to pry open Roxy's teeth and in the end got bitten on her finger instead. Many hands trying to bring the two dogs apart! Imagine the chaos at that moment.

Poor Rich had quite a deep wound, luckily no stiching was required. And Roxy got it from his dad, unable to avoid the fate of being beaten on his backside by rolled up newspapers. Fortunately Roxy mum injury was not serious.

However, Rich is now very very wary of Roxy, even Roxy owners. Just the smell of Roxy on them make Rich cowered and growl. Poor chap.

(When all this was happening, eye-witness reported that McMug was busy looking for any dog food (other owners bring for him knowing that he's such a greedy dog) dropped on the floor.)

New Friends:
On a happier note, McMug had made 2 new friends. First, there was "Ah Boy", a big mongrel from across the road, across the field (this part is what we guessed). Ah Boy has very mild temperment and is afraid of human. He would walk across the overhead bridge on his own on most nights and try to get near to a few of the dogs on our side of the road. McMug is one of the few dogs that can tolerate him. Max (shaved white poodle) mum also liked him alot and called him "Ah Boy" since no one knows his name.
A few owners reported that they saw Ah Boy walking across the overhead bridge and since Ah Boy had a liscence tag on his metal chain collar, we assume that he is from the warehouse from across the field, across the road.
Usually Ah Boy would follow McMug and when McMug saw him, McMug would go over and sniff him a bit, and then tried to leap on him. So far I haven't see Ah Boy play with McMug, more of following McMug and sniffing him. Whenever a human tried to approach him, Ah Boy would back off and walk away.
Out of curiosity, one night I brought McMug and followed Ah Boy over the overhead bridge. And guess what. Once we are near a block of flat, I saw a black big dog waiting for Ah Boy. It leapt up a bit, turn around and ran off. Then Ah Boy went running behind it. I didn't dare to go too near as I'm not sure if the black dog is friendly or not. Hence we lost track of them both after they turn at the coner of the flat. Oh wow, a black dog waiting for a brown dog to return.

New friend number 2 is Snorky the silky terrier. First encounter with Snorky is: Snorky back furiously at McMug. Second night when we saw Snorky and his Mummu and Daddy, he actually played with McMug. Then subseqeuent meeting, his find with McMug. Snorky is only 3 months old and with a puppy so cute, he was the central of attention during any dogs gathering.
And sometimes McMug is just so adorable. He would lie on his stomach and crawl towards the puppy and then leap a little to invite the puppy to play. Hahaha... he really played differently with different dogs.

Oh well, that's quite a lot for an entry. Will keep everyone update on what happens with the dogs.
