McMug, Roll over!
Yeah... McMug finally know how to roll over with just a simple hand sign and verbal command (of course, he won't do it FOC. Most effective result when there's food. Ha) Initially I have to tap on his shoulder to give him the cue, then follow buy moving my hands near his back. Now I can do it standing away from him, draw a circle in the air with my finger and say "roll over". Then he'll do it. Of course, like all behavioural approaches, he'll do it only on the same side. Probably is a route learning where by he can't be flexible as to which direction to turn.
Ya, know, this remind me of how some kids learn. If you do something correct, you'll get your reward. However, how much can these kids apply their knowledge? Maybe on the exam paper. But else where? Maybe not.
Well, that's all for today. Quite happy that McMug learn a new trick. But then again, it's just another selfish human thingy. I'm happy when he learn a trick, but what good will McMug get from learning this? Another yummy food I suppose. Oh well, he's happy, and I'm happy. So we both get what we wanted. Not to forget, it's just another little activity that bond us closer togather. That's my little doggy brother. Hee hee.

The incidents

Incident 01:
During the nightly dogs gathering (McMug + Roxy + Rich) newly joined is the white poodle with shaved coat, Maxie and the black miniture pincher x chihuahua (she doesn't look like pure chihuahua as she got longer legs), Vivi. As we were out there around 9plus pm, we sometimes will let the dogs run when there are no other people around. However, seems like either the owners noisy calliing after the dogs and laughter when discussing about our dogs or us letting the dogs run about, had irritated somebody living next to the gathering place (the playground). Somebody from the flat took picture of us. We think probably the person want to file a complain about us and our dogs to the town council.

Incident 02:
McMug got a new friend, Did -- Shih Tzu. And Didi is the most active Shih Tzu I've ever seen. Ans oh gosh, McMug just start to run around the whole area with Didi chasing behind him. Even though he won't attack people, but people won't know. Imagine if someone afraid of dogs came into his path! can't imagine what will happen! And what more, that silly dog don't look where he is going. He actually nearly bump into a tree! Rubbed against it and bounce back a little, and he just continued the running and chasing game. WORSE still, he won't stop when we call him when he's running at that speed. His engine is full on. So we have to stop Didi from chasing so he'll stop running. BAD DOG MCMUG! (whine whine whine...)
Sigh, to think that he still have the strength to want us to play his toys with him after running like a wild dog with Didi. BTW, Didi was panting rrrrreal hard after chasing McMug. So afraid he might get a heart attack.

Incident 03:
Bad Roxy! We met McMug's friend Chucky (Schnauzer) and McMug was sniffing around with him. Then Roxy came over. In less then 3 seconds, he started growling and wanted to attack Chucky. Chucky'c mummy was so frightened and angry. Fortunately no harm was done to either party. Hai... if this goes on, Roxy will only have a few friends left.

Hai... so sad. Poor dogs, cannot run around free. I understand that some people are afraid of dogs and some people can't touch dogs due to many reasons. I just wish there can be a fence up area where the dogs can run freely in. That will be wonderful for dogs, dog owners and people who can't touch dogs/afraid of dogs etc. Don't tell me there are places like Pasir ris park, west coast park Bishan park. Cos I don't have car , Singapore public transport are not "pet friendly" and McMug need daily walk. So actually I'm wish/dream/hope that the empty field opposite the road can be fence up and used as a dog run area. Not neccessary the whole place fence up, a small area will do too. As long as they can run freely that will be good enough. Yup yup.
