So sorry for the lack of up dates. Frankly, ever since I get back to Singapore and started to work, haven't been updating on Mug's blog.

Actually Mug hasn't been doing quite well recently. Just finished an operation yesterday and today is still staying in the vet clinic for observation. He has stones in his bladder and had them removed. But fortunately he is still eating well and very active.

Hopefully after this he'll be alright.

He is still going to IMH for his monthly "therapy" work. So yup, still leading quite a meaningful life.

Mug is turning 6 this year. Wow, how time flies. And he is getting more and more pampered by dad. So much so sometimes he won't eat his kibbles unless dad feed him with his hand. OMG!!!!! And guess what I told dad? Hee hee... lucky he has good foundation... (trained by me when he was younger, so he still has his basic manners :p)

Wahahahahahaha...

Went oversea for my graduation for a week with my parents and left the care of mcmug to my sis who would come over to my house to feed him every day and bring him for his walks.

This little fellow (well, his actually not little anymore, but still) was so happy when we returned. More of happy to see my dad I guess. He was soooooo "clingy" that he practically followed my dad everywhere my he went for the following two days after we came home. I said mcmug was like a super glue. He would whine and whine continuously in the morning outside my parents' room, and when i opened the door of their room, Mcmug woul run in and refuse to come out. He hid under the bed while my dad was napping on the bed.

Even when my dad went to the toilet, Mcmug would try to use his head to push open the toilet door! Hahahahaha... well, 10months when I'm away, I guess dad took care practically everything of mcmug's everyday activity. Sticky dog. hee hee

I'm actually into photography but haven't gone into photo editing yet. So now put my hands on Mug's photos to have some fun. The first two pictures are actually created using powerpoint. Can you believe it? Haha. and the last one is really simple, i used a program call Serif DrawPlus. I was telling dad that I can create a special album for Mug next time. Hahahaha...

Have a little faith
Sorry for the lack of updates, as most of you will know, I'm away from my country and thus haven't been with my dog, McMug. Anyway, my exams are finally over and while checking the email, I received this email about this amazing dog name Faith. Yea, amazing how a 2 legged dog survived and become the therapy dog who touched the hearts of many people.

Dogs, they are just so wonderful aren't they? There are lots to learn from them. And I like her name. Faith. Ah... has Faith in the Lord, believe that the darkest moments will pass and the sun will shine.

Yup, so here's a link to the website of this amazing dog! Faith the amazing pet therapy dog

I'll be back to my country soon. So hopefully more updates about McMug then. Tata

Still the therapist
Although I'm far away from home, but Mug is still actively involved in Pet asssisted therapy program with the TDS. Dad had been bringing him there every 3rd Sunday of the month. Glad that he's doing fine, just that I think according to people back at home, Mug had put on quite some weight. Oh no, there I was trying so hard last time to maintain his figure, with all the good food that Dad is feeding him now, he has lost his trim figure.

More exercise and less food when I get back I suppose. Tsk tsk tsk.

It'd been a long while since i last updated Mug's blog. McMug has been doing fine. Now that I'm going oversea, I guess he has to stop his "job" as a therapist for a long while.
My dear doggy, he has been maintaining his weight and shape well, haha. Yup, fit as a bull. Not sure if he'll miss me. Frankly, have been catching up with my social life and he has to spend more time with Dad then with me. What I can say is, fortunately there's still Mug to keep dad company while I'm away. At least dad won't be so lonely.

Call me therapist Mug
Haha, ya, I finally, finally brought Mug for the temperament test. And like what the in charge said, he pass with flying colours. No lah. Actually he was quite nervous when I brought him to IMH (yeah, it's a short test, and we did it at the lobby before the actual Pet Assisted Therapy start). It's pretty simple. First Mr C (the in charge) start to pat Mug. Then he gave Mug a sudden squeeze, rubbed him roughly, but not hurting him of course and clapped a few times loudly to see Mug's reaction. As for Mug's performance, well, he's actually quite used to "rough" handling from me. Hahahaha. He likes rough play anyway, but perhaps he was unfamiliar to Mr C so was a bit confused by Mr C's behaviour.
Then Mr C asked me to walk Mug towards him while he took his dog, a golden retriever, to walk around us. Mug usually is very friendly, but somehow he was afraid of the German Sheperd, but he was quite alright with the GR. Anyway, he passed the part with getting around other dogs. Then the last part was calling Mug back when he walked away. That was no problem too. Only thing was, as Mr C put it, he needed a little correction. That is, to come back and stay in front of me, then walk to my left and sit there. Mug would usually walk back and then walk away. Hee... Mr C said I spoiled him on that. Ha!
In the end, Mug passed the test, and he started work immediately after that. We went to the ward and a few residents actually were quite fond of him. Maybe because he is small in size (as in comparatively to the Sammoy, GS and GR)* Sammoy, if i didn't spell wrongly, is a kind of big white fluffy dog* And of course, Mug was there to do his tricks. However, he was very distracted today. Maybe too many people and too many dogs around, but he still made a few of them smile, not bad for the first time :)
Hee hee, yup, that more or less round up for his first time as a "therapist". Hohohoho... both owner and dog are in the same profession. Isn't it fun! Praise the Lord for giving me such as wonderful dog. So proud of Mug too. He is just wonderful.
